Island - Day 6 - Lake Myvatn

After spending the night next to a school (with open Wi-Fi), we drove to the volcanic crater Kravla. It was very rainy and ridiculously windy, so we were already soaking wet afterwards. The reward was the view of 3 crater lakes!

Next stop - Hverir. There were bubbling mud springs and water vapor escaping from the earth. Not a treat for the nose. If you were there that day, you would know what na kotzä means!

Afterwards, we drove to Hugh Hefner's cave, Grjotagja. Here lies a cave with a small lake inside, which is heated to 41°C to 46°C by geothermal energy. No playmates.

Hike up the Hverfjall volcano. Very beautiful view over the landscape and into the crater despite the bad weather.

They said 'Very beautiful Lava formations'... They said 'Go there'... and now what?! Niächts Bliäd. It was a small park with the typical Icelandic 'trees' and volcanic rocks.

Since we were completely soaked, we spontaneously got a hotel room for the night to dry everything and to rest and relax. Plan failed - bottle of vodka... ;)
