Day 2 in the Lofoten Islands: Let's start with the problem child again: the weather. It was very unpredictable and the planned kayak tour was canceled (also for budget reasons). Our next accommodation was in Leknes. On the way there, we visited Honningsvaer and had amazing views despite the slightly unpleasant smell of air-dried fish.
The next day was even better: we were woken up by the sun and then made our way to our ferry from Moskenes to Bodø. 4 hours of sailing with wonderful views of the Lofoten Islands and the mainland. When we arrived there, we were accompanied by our new travel companion, Max. We filled up the tanks with gasoline, which is about 40 cents per liter cheaper here, much to our delight. Oh yes, in Bodø we broke the 30°C mark. We continued south along the coastal road and saw an incredible landscape, which I would call 'nature porn'. This time, 240 km with a few ferries on the mainland were sufficient, and we were able to secure a perfect campsite with a slightly difficult access at the cool Innerkista Lake.
At 07:30 am, the day started with the daily morning rituals and a hearty breakfast. Dreamlike weather and temperatures well above 20°C are planned for today. Now we are sitting on the ferry from Jetvik to Kilboghavn, eagerly looking forward to the next routes.
