Today it's time to say goodbye to the blues stage. We drive to the far east of Georgia to Vashlova National Park. First we have to pass a line of trucks that is about 20 km long. It can be assumed that the trucks want to go to Azerbaijan and are not allowed to enter. We reach Dedoplistqaro and get the permit and a rough map of the area from the national park administration. Then it starts, but oh dear, after 30 km the asphalt ends and it only continues off-road. We struggle 15 km to Kasristskali and a little further. Then we have to give up with a heavy heart; the bully is supposed to last for quite a while. A syncro might have been better. So we can't see the mud volcanoes and drive back to town. We look for a nice room and go out for an adventurous meal. On the first floor of a building we find a dance hall with seating without guests, everything in semi-darkness. Two women show up and serve us in an exemplary and sufficient manner for €15. Back in our quarters we meet a German teacher. She tells a lot about Georgia. It should be mentioned that she only receives around €110 in pension and all of this money goes towards her medicine. So she is forced to continue working at the age of 78. We go to bed thoughtfully. 6978 km
