Today we got up early to catch the ferry from Bluff to Stewart Island/Rakiura to stay there over the weekend. What a rollercoaster! The ferry took one hour and the passage never has less than 20 m/h strong winds. While some where sleeping, a group of men had their first beer (at 10 a.m.), others were throwing up in bags and I stayed highly concentrated on staring at the horizon, it worked well! After checking out the small city Oban and it's offers for tourists, we did a 3 h hike to the lighthouse along the halfmoon bay. After dinner we went out again: me on the search for kiwis in the forest and around the city and Dorian on the hunt for squids. I wasn't successful but Dorian was.
