We are in Queenstown! The city is located on Lake Wakatipu, the second deepest lake in the world, surrounded by a mountain panorama. Queenstown can also be called the city of sports stores, as many trails and Great Walks start from here, so you can find everything you need for hiking or active sports. Our hostel offered us an apartment with its own kitchen and rooftop terrace with views of the mountain landscape and the lake. On the first morning, we were "gently" awakened by a fire alarm, and no one felt like going outside, because in a hostel where everyone can do their mischief, it's probably just a false alarm. As it turned out shortly afterwards, it was due to the Asians, who apparently don't know what a range hood is in a kitchen and wanted to fry breakfast a little too much. In Queenstown, we took a trip to the lake and enjoyed the - as we had already been promised several times before - the best burger in New Zealand. With the motto above the door "In Ferg we trust", we ordered Double-Fergburger with blue cheese and fries and enjoyed it. You apparently often meet the same people over and over again, so we spent our evening playing cards with Stuart, whom we know from Thames.
