Today we finally set off towards the beach, my last stop in Colombia. Scenic 10/10, the room is super close to the beach and I have a very lovely hostess. Including dog and cat. The other Germans are a bit annoying, but I'll just ignore it in favor of the sound of the sea.
One thing is starting to become problematic, I'm on the verge of starvation. At least today. A vegan diet is somehow a challenge, breakfast is usually dry toast and then I go looking for chips. And there's a chance I'll turn into an Oreo by the time I get back. Fruit really doesn't last all day. But I found vegan cake here :) (small ps to reading relatives, I'm really looking forward to sensible food at home :D) Another thing, there are probably rules here about where you walk and when on the sidewalk and I'm legit no chance of finding out what they are. In some places they are strict and I would really like to just join in, but I'm always in the way :D oh well.
Yesterday in Tayrona National Park we saw a ritual by parts of the indigenous population who probably perform this three times a year to restore balance with the earth and that was really beautiful and an absolute coincidence.
For sustainable travel, when you go on boat tours, always check whether the tour is offered on a sailboat *and* read the reviews to see whether they actually sail with a sail. There are enough boats that just start the engine, even when the conditions are optimal. Wind does not use fuel. And it's way funnier.
