As I set off around 8:00 in the morning, it is still pitch dark..... and quite chilly (5°/at least above freezing). I have to go down from my 'Ponderosa' to the town, pass through it completely, and then start today's stage. Just past the town, there is a nice alternative route to the Camino, which runs along a small river for about 3 km. Unfortunately, it is still too dark to take good photos, so these images will remain only in my mind.
The first third of today's path is definitely the most beautiful. After that, there is a mix of dirt roads and paved roads. This makes it difficult for me to forget about the time (and distance). I keep looking at the clock, but it feels like it's dragging on and I can't find any really nice photo opportunities either. I imagine using one of the countless grain silos as a tiny house for tonight, but first of all, the ceiling height is not right, I imagine that they have extremely cold floors, and most of them don't have a ladder to access the entrance.
In the late afternoon, I reach the hostel with a restaurant attached. Very convenient, because the town doesn't offer much else. That's why I will also have breakfast here tomorrow and head towards Muxia, instead of going directly to Cape Finisterre. I will hike to Cape Finisterre from Muxia. Just 2 challenging stages left.
