New York Training school

The room at the Training school was not really good. The mattress had springs and I could feel each one, so it was really uncomfortable. Also, it was very cold in the room. There is air conditioning everywhere, which is totally different from Germany. It was about 64.4°F, so not that warm and the air conditioner was working.

The first day, I only slept for 3.5 hours because we arrived so late. But I found out that the view from my window was really nice.

We went to the cafeteria for breakfast. Breakfast in America is very different. I was used to eating bread and buns for breakfast. But there was only oatmeal, cereal, French toast, fruit with yogurt, toast and cream cheese. I had fruit with yogurt and toast with cream cheese, that was okay.

We had to walk across the entire campus to get to Breslin Hall, where our classes were supposed to take place. But the campus was really nice, with lots of trees and flowers. We also had to walk over a highway.

The course was okay. Our teacher, Tiffany, was really nice but it got boring after about an hour because they were just telling us things we already knew, or at least I did. We had class from 9 am until 7:30 pm, so it was a long day and the next one was supposed to be not much better.

I was told to leave the Training school on Friday at 9 am. The journey should take about 7 hours. And my host family was supposed to pick me up.
