Today we faced the longest stage of the tour, which we initially covered without much elevation gain. It continued through a dense forest, steadily ascending, until we reached a fantastic suspension bridge, which we crossed at a height of 220m. After the suspension bridge, the path became very steep uphill, passing by the small village of Burgstein, until we eventually reached the summit after what felt like hours. The descent then followed along the mountain side, later steeply downhill until we reached the Ötztaler Ache down below. From there, we first continued on a bike path towards Sölden, which we had to leave in Aschbach to gain elevation again. Ultimately, Sölden came into view at the end of the forest. Upon arrival, we had covered 21.4 km, with an ascent of 1,070 meters and a descent of 870 meters.
