Wanaka (1 day)

The night in the car was over for me at 6:40 and for Noah at around 7:30, so we freshened up as much as possible... We then turned onto Haast Pass towards Wanaka around 8 o'clock. We made our first stop at a waterfall just a few minutes later. We had breakfast at our second stop, another waterfall, before making another stop at a Blue Lake. Beautiful! After leaving Haast Pass behind, we reached a small town where we refueled and took a short walk by the lake. We also stopped at various viewpoints along the way. When we arrived in Wanaka, we first went to the information center to book accommodation. Then we strolled through Wanaka and took a long walk by the lake after having pizza at a restaurant. In the evening, we drove to our accommodation and cooked noodles before thankfully falling into bed instead of the car seat. The next stop is Queenstown.
