The last days have come. Today we need to fill up our vitamin D supply properly one last time.
Together, we secured some loungers by the pool and are going through our do-nothing program. Water aerobics,
reading, chatting about trivial stuff, drinking water, sleeping.
Schahaatz is going on his first dive today. A bit taciturn and engrossed in his phone to recall the underwater sign language, he still joins us for breakfast before he disappears indefinitely into the depths of the sea.
Personal entry from me (Schahaatz):
“This morning I was a bit nervous, after all, it had been a year since my last dive. Therefore, I was quieter than usual this morning ☺️.
I was supposed to be at the dive base half an hour early, and I ended up standing there for 45 minutes, when the dive master John asked me if I needed any info. When I said that I would be going on a dive with him, he remembered too 😂
It almost turned into a private dive. No one else was there. At the last minute, however, the Dane Rolf showed up. He works for Vestas in Denmark. With his over 600 dives, he's an experienced old hand.
There were plenty of fish, a yellow-black sea snake, some purple corals, and a yellow moray eel to see.
I really enjoyed the easy dive; the journey was the goal.
Just in time for lunch, the sea releases us again.”
End of personal entry.
Refreshed, the guys go play petanque while we girls work on transforming our aristocratic pale skin into a tan.
Too bad for the guys that I can’t read properly, as petanque doesn't always happen at 3:00 PM, so they participate in the alternative program of archery.
Last activity before dinner - Shopping. Nearby are 2 malls that we target as a trio. Schahaatz always wants to buy me something nice to wear, and I am the shopping grouch supreme.
The first mall had nothing, which was already noted in the reviews.
The 2nd mall Le Croisette was new, big, and modern. We went into the first store and came out with the first bag. Going well.
I found a T-shirt and flip-flops, just need something for our boys, whom we don't have to bring T-shirts with local prints for anymore. But without….. no.
We also saw a nice bathrobe for Schahaatz, but he doesn’t want to wear it on the flight (though maybe they will upgrade him to first class, as they also have bathrobes there) and the weight would exceed 23 kg. So no bathrobe.
We end the evening, as always, at the bar.
