Last Sunday our Europe trip took us for the first time to a country we had never visited before: Portugal.

Our current campsite is located a few kilometers away from the city of Porto. The coastal region up to this point hasn't really impressed us yet, and that's not just because of the bad weather, as it has been raining a lot in the past few days, sometimes stormy. The beaches are naturally beautiful, but we haven't found everything else around here to be so outstanding 🤔 The construction is rather shabby, everything is partly very close, built in a convoluted manner, and everything is walled, even fields (there is a lot of agriculture right here on the coast). Pedestrians have a tough time here, as it's sometimes very convoluted and narrow, and there are hardly any sidewalks, not to mention green spaces in between. It's not ideal for Triene's walkies 😉 Furthermore, in this region there are kilometers of small cobblestones paving, which even with our Smart car is extremely annoying 🤨 The locals still zoom through the streets at 60 km/h or more, and we silly Germans are the party poopers with our car-friendly 20 to 35 km/h, literally 😄

The past few days have been extremely rainy, so we made ourselves extra comfortable in bed 😊 and did something very mundane: we visited an indoor outlet center, which is only 3.5 km away from the campsite (however, it wasn't as exciting, as we already have enough clothes in the motorhome) and also a great big DIY store (which we found more interesting than the outlet =;0) and the next day, rain-friendly, we went to a shopping center, including IKEA 😄 All locations were not crowded, so you could keep a comfortable distance 😷

Today we had surprisingly sunny weather 😎 even though the forecast predicted rain. Therefore, we took the opportunity to explore "Porto" and let the numerous pictures of the beautiful, interesting city and the journey speak for themselves...
