Day 4: Hanoi's best

Gepubliceerd: 17.03.2019

Early in the morning, we were drawn to a rooftop terrace with a great view of Hoan Kiem Lake, where we leisurely sipped a cup of tea or coffee. To energize ourselves for the day, we then went to the best sandwich shop in town. There, we enjoyed a delicious 'Banh Mi' for breakfast.

A bit further north, we found the 'Dong Xuan' market, where you can find EVERYTHING. We squeezed through the narrow stands, lined up close together, and admired the many goods on offer.

A little further on, we came across the 'Long Bien Bridge', which turned out to be a popular photo spot, with several dozen people present. After snapping a few shots without any other people in them, we wanted to enrich ourselves culturally and visited a museum. The 'Maison Centrale' is a former prison in the city center, built by the French and later used under Vietnamese leadership.

To experience another highlight in Hanoi, in the afternoon we returned to the train tracks, which this time ran not on the outskirts, but in the middle of cafes. A train passes by there twice a day. Of course, we couldn't miss this event.

To end the day, we went to the 'Garden House' restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner in a cozy atmosphere.
