I'm actually not much of an early riser. But the thought of riding a motorcycle without sweating was just too tempting.
It was quite foggy at the start, in our region that's always associated with wet and cold, it was probably humid, but quite pleasant for riding at 23 degrees.
So we continued, along the beautiful riverside road on the Serbian side of the Danube. The fog cleared up quite quickly and revealed the beautiful nature again. Towards the end of the riverside road, I came across the big fortress Globulac, Marianne the motorcyclist from Norway had recommended me to visit the fortress. I wanted to, but they just wouldn't let me in at 7:00 o'clock, I don't understand.
I didn't want to wait until 10:00 o'clock and so I continued. There was also a cruise ship docked there and another one was approaching on the horizon. That indicated tourist crowds.
First some nice uphill and downhill and curvy roads, then it was just straight ahead, but there was a dirt road running quite parallel to the main road. So, it was time to turn and play in the sand. The dirt road was quite easy to ride, occasionally there was a muddy hole (a keyword for an insider) but even that went quite well. Unfortunately, along this dirt road, in the most beautiful nature, there were 2-3 wild garbage dumps stretching for several hundred meters. It smelled beastly. In general, during these hot temperatures, you frequently have the smell of decay in your nose throughout the Balkans.
At some point, the dirt road ended, it went back to asphalt but it became hilly and curvy again. I slowly approached the city of Uzice, and since the temperatures were at 39 degrees again, I decided to look for accommodation near the city, which was quickly found. I will spend two days here again. From Wednesday onwards, it is supposed to be a bit cooler here, so I will continue my journey then.
