Yesterday was the last day we spent with Basti's parents as their tour has come to an end. We had planned to go to the beach in the afternoon, but the weather wasn't really nice. So we walked across the city and visited some tourist attractions. During a spontaneous shopping trip, a few shoes accidentally ended up in my backpack. And in Basti's backpack too. Oops, that wasn't planned. But which woman can resist a store where her favorite shoes cost only half as much as at home... besides, I thought it would be good for my knee, which started to bother me after nearly 24,000 steps. The highlight of the day was in the evening at a 360° bar that offered a view of Sydney. Such an amazing city. Truly incredible. There's magic in the air. Afterwards, we enjoyed one last burger at Lord of the Fries before saying goodbye to Basti's parents.
Today, we took our time getting up. It was announced to be 26°C - so off to Bondi Beach! As soon as we arrived, Basti was already in the water - with waves as high as 3 meters. It took quite a bit of convincing to get me even close to those waves 😁 But the water had a pleasant temperature. After swimming, we played a bit of beach volleyball so that we don't completely forget how to handle the ball^^ With a lot more color on our skin, we headed to Manly Beach in the evening to end our last night in Sydney. While looking for a parking space, we found a cheap parking garage. It wasn't until after we struggled through the entrance that we realized we definitely exceeded the maximum height 😁 Luckily, there were only a few scratches on the roof box. There was a happy hour happening at a Bavarian restaurant - what a coincidence.
Tomorrow, we will continue our journey north with Jeepy. Let's see where else we end up. But one thing we can say for sure: you have to see Sydney!
