13.07. - arrived home

After 1692 km by bike, 140 km by train, 1800 km by car (return journey), wonderful and gracious experiences along the way, we have arrived home safe and sound.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success:

Grandma, who took care of the well-being of our children and the house.

Our children, who took care of many things at home and comforted Cherry.

Nicole and Stefan, who borrowed us some utensils and also supported us at home, just like Marlies.

Alfons and Martin, who picked us up from Medjugorje and spent the last few days there with us, praying together, engaging in intense discussions, and laughing a lot.

All the other people who supported us at home or on the way in any form.

Gisela Niessing, who provided us with this beautiful photo of the sunset on Apparition Hill.

All those who prayed for us.

And:

God, the Good One, and the Mother of God, who were always with us - tangible. No matter if there were obstacles and problems in the preparation that then resolved themselves quickly, if medical help was needed on the way, which then appeared out of nowhere, if help came at the right time when looking for accommodations, if precarious situations in traffic turned out well, if the incredible heat and the heights to overcome were challenging, if the spiritual impulses, sermons, lectures we heard on the way and in Medjugorje followed a guidebook that seemed tailor-made for us, or if the impressive experiences in Medjugorje will be a support and comfort for us in everyday life - God was (and is) there for us, the Gospa, Mary, accompanied us as a mother.
