After packing late last night, we still didn't have everything together this morning. So we had to continue packing... which meant we didn't leave at 10 o'clock as we wanted, but rather around 11. Bad timing, because Juliane starts getting hungry for lunch by then. With a few snacks, we were able to hold her off for a bit, but then we took our first break - lunch break - shortly after Chemnitz. We had lunch at 'Lara's' - a nearly one hour drive and already in America - well at least in terms of atmosphere ;-) Jette was excited about the ceiling fans. Jette had fries with ketchup and Juli also had fries after her baby food :-o After a discussion about who gets to sit in the front on the rest of the drive, we continued and both kids slept peacefully, Juli even until shortly before arrival at the hotel. The 'Park Hotel' in Zirndorf is quietly located a bit off the beaten path and in a woodland area, so the mosquitoes were the first to bite us. We booked room 26, which was actually a family room, but more of a double room with an extra bed. Due to space limitations, we decided against the baby bed. The arrangement of the beds was determined by Henriette, so Papa has to sleep alone :-o After arrival, we visited various playgrounds around the hotel (hotel playground, sports field, and woodland playground), and then we had dinner in our room. For Juliane, we tried out our newly purchased travel water cooker to cook her baby food, and for the rest of us, there were leftovers from the trip ;-)
