Jack Daniel's-distilleerderij in Lynchburg, Tennessee

March 19th. On the way to Chattanooga, there was a special destination where a globally known brand is produced: Jack Daniel's.

After a small breakfast at our recommended motel, we set off to Lynchburg. We managed the approximately 150 km journey without any problems. The landscape became greener as time went on, and the weather continued to cooperate.

We arrived in Lynchburg around noon. Without any detours, we went straight to the distillery, as we also wanted to explore it during a guided tour.

Lynchburg is located in a dry county. This means that the sale of alcohol is prohibited. Only the distillery has an exception permit.

There were various tours to choose from on site, most of which also included a tasting. We chose the Dry County Tour, as we both had to remain capable of driving.

In the following 70 minutes, our guide Bob taught us about the history and production of Jack Daniels. The high-proof beverage has been produced in Lynchburg since 1866 and is popular worldwide.

After the tour, we explored the town, which is naturally dedicated to the global brand. After dinner, we did some shopping. Then we continued our journey about 140 km to our destination for the day, Chattanooga, where we arrived in the evening.

In Chattanooga, we wanted to have a drink in the city center, but there wasn't much happening there, so we drove back to our motel without accomplishing anything.
