Quiet did not arrive until around 23:00 last night. There were campfires, grilling, lights on the tents everywhere.
It started raining around 6:00 AM this morning.
Today is a holiday, but you wouldn't know it. All the shops and facilities are open. In Lorne, we find out at the information center that we have 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi. Since it's raining anyway, and we need an alternative plan because the planned tour to the waterfalls is not possible, I can upload the last two days of pictures. Continuing in the rain along the coastal road. At a surfer beach, we get a snack to eat. Families are gathering at the beaches with grills, tents, and everything else you need on a holiday.... We are experiencing the Great Ocean Road today with dark clouds and rain.
In Torquay on the golf course, we see several grazing kangaroos. Once again, we pass by a chocolate factory and ice creamery, and since we have time, we check one out. Everything is delicious. Chocolate in Australia is very expensive. The campsites are all deserted again. We pass by two large camping grounds. At the end of the Great Ocean Road, we find one. Fortunately, the caretaker lets us in even though they closed at 4:00 PM!! We and a few others are the only overnight guests; otherwise, all the spots are reserved, but no one is there. The rain has stopped, and we go to the beach and even the sun comes out. We grill one last time at the camper and enjoy the silence, the setting sun, the sound of the waves. Once the sun sets, it gets cold, and, rarely, mosquitoes bother us.
