2.12.- 4.12. Titicaca Lake

प्रकाशित: 05.12.2018

On 2.12. we took an early morning bus to Puno.

The journey lasted 8 hours. But the bus was super comfortable and the scenery was beautiful. In the late afternoon, we reached Puno. A somewhat ugly city on Lake Titicaca, but with a beautiful sunset.

There we went out to eat. Trout is a specialty here.

Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world. It is huge and located at an altitude of about 4000m.

On 3.12. we continued to Copacabana. It is also located on Lake Titicaca but on the Bolivian side. At the border, we got our departure stamp for Peru, had to walk through a stone gate to Bolivia, and on the other side, we had to get our entry stamp.

Then we could board our bus again and continue. Copacabana feels like a Mediterranean town. It is also very touristy.

Here he is taken out onto the lake.

We spent two days exploring the small town, the waterfront, the basilica, and trying out different restaurants.

We will spend the next two days on the Sun Island. There is no Internet there. Until then
