Landing approach at Manchester Airport:
As we descended through the cloud cover, I saw many fields bordered by hedges and scattered trees, along with a larger road. Indeed, they really do drive on the wrong side here, it's not just on TV! 😅
We landed in Manchester with a delay of one hour and 15 minutes.
Even in the women's restroom, I was approached: Extravaganza? A woman from Poland...
The 'usher' at the fully automated border control could have performed in a theater, entertaining everyone with his explanations of how the passport control machines work, which resulted in a few laughs. The Herbalife representatives from Italy behind me found it amusing too...
Then it was off to the bus and train station, which is 'only' 10 minutes away. And it's hard to believe: even on foot, you keep to the left. 🙃. At the station, a friendly gentleman helped me, even selling the ticket for £6.50.
The train was quite modern (though I haven’t traveled by train in a long time). There was Wi-Fi, but I couldn’t connect. Announcements were made in two languages. However, I couldn't recognize the second language. Perhaps it was Welsh?
The train ride to Oxford Road took 19 minutes.
Manchester welcomed me in typical English weather, as expected. But it wasn't cold, just wet.
