Today was a beautiful but also very sweaty day. After breakfast, we immediately went on a city tour via hop-on hop-off bus. The right outfit for this was very important to Frederik.

This took us all around the north of the city and showed us its many different faces. Starting with crossing a large bridge over azure turquoise water, on one side you could catch a glimpse of an island with the villas and estates of the beautiful and the rich, with huge cruise ships anchored on the other side. First stop was Bayfront Park with many shops and stalls lining a pretty marina. In such a touristy place, the American institutions 'hooters,' 'bubba gump shrimp,' and the 'hard rock cafe' are a must.

The districts of Midtown, Wynwood, Historic Overtown, Art District, and Little Havana showed themselves in many different facets, but we preferred to enjoy the pleasant breeze rather than getting off the bus 😂😉

Tomorrow we want to take a closer look at Little Havana and other places.

To conclude the day tour, we strolled along the coast (and looked for every bit of shade we could find) until we reached South Pointe Park and walked out onto the pier. There we had a beautiful view of inviting blue and crashing waves.

The highlight slowly approached in the water: two huge-looking rocks were moving beneath us, and upon closer inspection, they turned out to be animals - manatees. 😊

Back at the hotel, we had some time to rest in the room before jumping into the waves of the wonderfully warm sea. Frederik really enjoyed it, especially being able to splash and dig in the very shallow water at the front.

In order to avoid heatstroke or a heatstroke provocation, we went back to the pool in the shade against Frederik's will. Carrying with us a spirited protest.

In the evening, Ocean Drive looked very different from the evenings before. Saturday night, and the people gather. It's a spectacle and you have to experience it. Everyone shows off what they have: their scooter, their Harley, their Mustang/Porsche/Ferrari/Bentley/H2 and H3, muscle mass, tattoos, breasts, and cellulite wrapped in nets. We really stood out like colorful dogs 😂👍
