Day 2: Sightseeing in Bangkok

प्रकाशित: 09.01.2018

Today we visited some sightseeing points. Since our hostel is in a prime location, everything was within walking distance. We are slowly becoming more courageous and daring to cross the busy streets as pedestrians.

First, we visited Wat Pho Temple, including the reclining Buddha. The temple complex enforces a proper dress code, which meant wearing long pants and covering our shoulders. Even in 30 degrees heat.

Next, we went to the Grand Palace, which fortunately is not far away. It was much busier here than at the temple. Just as we finished our tour, it started to drizzle a little, which was actually quite pleasant given the heat. After finding shelter for a moment, we went back to the hostel to change our clothes. We really needed to get out of our long attire.

The last stop for us in Bangkok was Chinatown. As we arrived, it gradually got busier, with the stalls being set up one by one. But the streets quickly filled up, and we strolled along the stands. On the way back, we even had some time for our first Thailand geocache.
