Planning your travels in advance is for wimps!

Anyone who knows me knows that I love adventure. I am a daredevil through and through. 'Danger' is my middle name.

Yeah, well, I would never do something like asking the bank if my card is valid outside the EU. I am not a little girl!

I am a man! And real men only ask afterwards. When the money is almost gone and the debit card doesn't work for the third time, then real men ask.

'That's right, in Albania you can't withdraw money or pay with your card. Have a great holiday!', the little lady from the bank sang on the phone earlier.

But because I am a clever guy, I always have my fee-free AMEX credit card with me. With that, you can pay anywhere in the western world for free and super easy.

So, where is Albania again?

That's right: In the freaking Eastern bloc!

And now I'm here...

I have 15 euros and 150 Leks left in my wallet.

(1 euro is about 124 Leks)

I don't see any way to get cash with my cards or pay for anything here.

Hm... Dilemma! 😂

But somehow I'll figure it out.

I still have the hostel booked until the day after tomorrow. Breakfast is included.

A cup of coffee and a bun are easily within budget.

Until then, I just have to figure out how to get out of here and where to go next.

Crazy, crazy.

I am definitely experiencing many exciting impressions here... (see photos)

Tja,tut mir leid Micha, aber da steht der erste Erste Hilfe Kurs für Albaner an, überteuert natürlich, aber schließlich von einem Experten. Noch mach ich Witze, aber wie schickt man Geld nach Albanien. Im Brief?
