My breakfast, if it's already ready, is usually on the dining table in the kitchen, covered with a cloth, a plate, or a small bowl. In this weather, I would put a bowl of chopped fruit in the fridge... Ok, anyway, today I took off the top bowl and it was swarming with tiny ants. There are always ant trails in the kitchen because everyone leaves food or leftovers lying around from preparation. Especially in the morning when no one felt like cleaning up the kitchen the night before. They haven't touched my breakfast yet. However, sometimes there are ants in the sugar bowl, which doesn't seem to bother anyone. I just drink my instant coffee unsweetened until I have vegan sugar again.

I always have yogurt and a small bag of oatmeal at home. For a little snack in between. The yogurt is safe in the fridge. At first, I kept the oatmeal in the kitchen cabinet until I realized that there are also ants living there. Now they are securely closed in my wardrobe. The oatmeal, not the ants.

Anyway, I'm always very close to the local fauna here. Little geckos run through my room and disappear into various holes and cracks. While I'm sitting at my little camping table writing this, there's rustling behind the wall. Sometimes in the early morning, there are noises from outside as if someone is jumping on the corrugated iron roof in front of my room. Maybe that's the huge neighbor's cat, who sometimes tears apart the garbage can in the kitchen or steals bread. If only he would eat the mice under the sink. Pigeons and other birds trot on my roof, sometimes they scare me. And of course, my friends, the mosquitoes.

Weather is hot, no wind, not even from the east, dry.
