Lightning/ Horseshow/tough Australian guys

Yesterday afternoon I was at a "horse show", which from a German perspective could be described as a 'fun fair with a show'.

It was a combination of carousels that cost $10 per ride, food stalls, a photo exhibition, a handicraft market and in the middle of the square an arena where harness racing, horse riding skills, lawnmower racing, motorcycle looping, dog jumping and children's lollipop races were performed... just Australian... 😄

... Oh yeah, and you could see tough guys speed-chopping wood, chopping through a eucalyptus trunk in no time and with great precision. 🪓

A 2-day countryside event that takes place once a year and seems to be attended by everyone.

What fascinated me most was the lightning, which I had never seen before. What unfortunately cannot be seen in the photos is that continuous lightning was discharged in a large cloud, but the rest of the sky was blue and there was neither thunder nor rain.
