Island Tag 14: Passstraße waagerecht

Today, for a change, we drove quite a lot, 374 km. Susanne has an app that records the distance traveled, like I do when cycling - so we don't forget to start the app :) Anyway, our route today looks very funny, as if we are too stupid to drive straight ahead. That's because the road mostly follows the coastlines of the fjords, and so a lot of hairpin bends come together, some on gravel, some paved. The biggest danger is that one of the many sheep jumps in front of the car, sometimes they are completely relaxed by the roadside, sometimes they walk on the road.

In between there are kilometers of emptiness, a few farms, and only at the gas stations, which are mostly right next to a supermarket, you can see people outside of a car.

But today we saw seals: first they were in the seaweed, but when we approached, they fled into the water and looked curiously at us from there. Of course, Susanne took a lot of photos again, of seals and birds and sheep.

And in the evening there is another hot pot. In front of the accommodation, in the evening sun. Otherwise, there is no one there, we have a choice of three pots.
