The time is getting closer. The departure date is not far away!

We are already busy with the final preparations for our trip. One of the last bureaucratic hurdles was the International Driver's License. If you want to drive a vehicle in New Zealand, you should get an "International Driver's License" in advance. This is basically just a translation of the German driver's license. It looks like this:

We are using our last days in Germany to enjoy the pre-Christmas season with family. Since we will basically spend Christmas in the airplane or at airports, we have to make use of the remaining time we have now. But that also has its advantages! We will probably receive early Christmas presents :)

Now we just need the weather in Frankfurt to play along on the day of departure (we are a bit concerned that our flight could be cancelled due to bad weather), and we will start our NZ trip!
