From Marktbreit to Wörnitz

First a small update about yesterday. It was extremely difficult to find something to eat in the evening as almost all restaurants were closed on Mondays. Thank God not all of them.

With the best summer weather, we continued our journey heading south and deviated a bit from our planned route to visit Rothenburg ob der Tauber. We first had a steep climb, which demanded a lot from us, before we could enjoy the descent into the Taubertal valley. The Taubertal cycle path was very beautiful, but a bit more challenging than expected, as it went uphill several times. The ascent to Rothenburg was too steep for us, so we had to push our bikes for a bit. We had to do that in Rothenburg anyway, as it was a tourist inferno and impossible to get through. After a delicious ice cream, we continued our journey. It was already quite late, and our original destination, Dinkelsbühl, seemed too far away. So we booked a hotel in the small village of Wörnitz. It turned out to be quite disappointing. We couldn't even find it at first, as it was hardly recognizable as a hotel. It was right next to the road that leads from the highway exit. But the room was decent, so we stayed, especially since we couldn't cancel anyway. There is no restaurant in this village, so we will go to the truck stop for dinner.
