My first week in Australia

Luckily, I survived my very first days here in Australia very well. Even though the first night in the Backpacker Hostel 'Old Swan Barracks' was a bit rough because of the wonky bunk bed. My roommates are all boys, but two of them are very very nice and friendly. One of them is from Indonesia and helped my doing my laundry today. 

I also met a German couple from Osnabrück. We've been together since then and went to the city at night twice and to the beach (Cottesloe and Scarborough). 

All in all, I can tell that I am very happy to be here, even though I miss my family, friends and most of all, my boyfriend.

No, seriously, please do what you dream of and don't be afraid of the unknown. It's all gonna be ok. It's ok to be afraid, but overcome this fear.

I am afraid too. Spiders for example. Or cockroaches. And I can tell ya, it's no myth, here are a lot of them crossing your way every day. So keep an eye on where you step on!
