With the holidays, Christmas and New Year's Eve, and the remaining vacation days, we have a good 6 weeks of vacation, so we can take our first tour with the NEW to Spain.
The recommendations from winter vacationers in Spain were to book a fixed CP over the holidays, as many Spaniards also go to the coast at that time.
So we needed a place that should have everything within walking distance, as we had our 14-year-old Ridgeback Opa with us, who unfortunately couldn't walk for more than 10 minutes anymore.
Searched and found. The CP Blanes in Blanes is located directly by the sea and directly on the approximately 4 km long beach promenade. Ideal for us with our Opa.
We turned our dog bike trailer into a jogger, and whenever he couldn't walk anymore, he was pushed. That worked really well.
The beach promenade is great, the campsite is located at the end, so it's quiet. Every day on the promenade, at the center, fruit and vegetable market, bakery, and much more, all within walking distance.
Beautiful place with a great harbor.
The weather was great, just a light rain in the morning.
We liked it so much there and with our Opa, we decided not to make a round trip, so we stayed in Blanes.
Unfortunately, we had to return 1 week earlier, as the weather forecast announced a strong storm.
At home, we saw photos of the damage, the storm was really severe, so it was the right decision.
We actually wanted to go back there in April, but due to the Corona crisis, it was no longer possible.
Now we hope for the coming winter.
