10.08.16 | Day 18 | Olympic Games in Salvador Part 2

Today we went to the second football match as part of the Olympic Games in Salvador. However, this time there was much more going on at the Fonte Nova than in the previous game. Because today Brazil was playing!

But first, here are some impressions of the stadium:

The first match was between Japan and Sweden. At first, it was a very balanced game, but Japan quickly took the opportunity and won 1-0 in the end. It was also very cool to see how many Japanese fans were present to support their country.

Finally, the evening match began: Denmark against Brazil. The stadium was bursting at the seams just before the start of the game and the interior of the stadium was completely yellow.

An incredible feeling and incomparable to Germany. And then the game began and the Brazilians led their team from the first minute. The game was characterized by many wave cheers, chants, euphoria, and drum beats. And then it happened: the first goal was scored. What shouts of joy and excitement were suddenly unleashed! Simply indescribable! And unlike anything in Germany. In the end, Brazil won 4-0.
