Crete Day 1

This morning I was awakened by people walking around. I looked out the window and at first it looked like we were still on the move, but that wasn't the case - I had overslept. We have already arrived in Chania. Yes, finally arrived 🙂. What a journey. So I packed my things and rushed off the ship. Downstairs, a bus was already waiting, as the port is also far outside the city. At 6 o'clock in the morning, of course, there is nothing going on here. So I took my obligatory photo of the Venetian Harbor and then went back to the bus station to continue my journey to Kissamos. I booked an accommodation along the way. When I arrived in Kissamos, I went to a café and got myself some breakfast.

The accommodation is simple but I have a room with a sea view. Today is a regeneration day, because officially the E4 starts from here, which runs across Crete. It feels really good to be back in Crete. The weather for the next few days is forecasted to be cloudy and may be accompanied by some rain, but that won't stop me from hiking.
