Uvita

In Uvita we reached our accommodation after a drive of about 15 minutes (gravel road and very steep!) uphill towards the jungle. On the way, we were amazed when we saw an anteater leisurely walking on the access road in darkness and pouring rain. The next morning after our nocturnal arrival, we were greeted with a spectacular view: on one side, a direct view of the national park and the 'Whale Tale', on the other side, a hilly landscape dominated by dense jungle. We couldn't believe it, the house was simply fantastic! During our stay at Casa Mengovina, we had the company of our little roommate who lived in the garden and regularly paid us visits: the Agouti.
