July 18
On Saturday evening, I thought to myself: I should check if the road to Williams Lake is even open. And I found out that everything is already closed due to the forest fires even before Williams Lake. So I messaged Aileen. She told me on Sunday morning that I can't come at the moment because Williams Lake has been evacuated and there is no way to get to Nimpo Lake. So we had to come up with a new plan. I asked Laurie if I can come back to her in Vanderhoof and she said: of course. So I went to the Greyhound Station and changed my bus ticket and planned everything else and even got a little excited to see Kitty, King, Buffy, and the family again. (But actually, I was in a bad mood because I was afraid that I couldn't visit Aileen and Henry again).
And then on Monday morning, I woke up, turned on my phone, and got an email from Henry saying that he has a friend in Prince George who has an airplane and wants to fly to Anahim Lake on Friday, and he has one more seat available. I can also stay with him for the three days. That was the best news ever! :) So I had to cancel with Laurie again. Then Henry gave me the phone number of John the pilot and he said that he might be able to fly to Anahim Lake on Tuesday evening. :) I think I had to completely rearrange everything 4 times in 2 days, but now everything is working. And I find it really amazing how nice the people here are again. I mean John (the pilot) doesn't even know me and just said that I could stay with him for 3 nights and he can fly me to Anahim. And Aileen and Henry have been asking so many people and looking for possibilities for me to come here somehow because everything is really closed. And I only asked Laurie 2 days before if I could come there.
Well, I didn't really have time to do anything in Calgary, which I didn't mind. I also think that being in a city for 4 days is more than enough. Now I'm looking forward to seeing the cows and horses again. At my BnB, I also met Ahmed from Egypt. We watched movies in the evening and on Monday, we drove to the city together, had lunch, and walked around the city.
On Monday evening, I finally took the Greyhound bus to Prince George. John (the pilot) picked me up there and we had to wait for a few parts that Henry ordered in the city to arrive. Because the airplane is currently the only way to get anything out of the city. Then we drove to the airport and there was a huge transport helicopter from the Canadian Airforce taking off. After we checked everything again, we took off as well. The airplane was super small. It could barely fit 2 people, my luggage, and Henry's order. So you could feel every little movement of the wind and the airplane kept going up and down as if there was no wind at all. That's why I couldn't take any photos because I was busy trying to keep my food inside me. I managed to do that for an hour (but the flight was 1.5 hours). And you couldn't see much either. We flew through smoke for an hour and everything around us was white. So you couldn't see anything. I was very glad when we landed. And when I arrived at the airport in Anahim Lake, it felt like being home already. All the people (about 6) knew me and were chatting with me and I had no idea who they were. That's why the one-hour wait went by pretty quickly. Then Ida came and we drove to the ranch and everything is still as beautiful as before. At the moment, there are still 2 French people here who are supposed to work at Fred and Monica's, but the fires are so close there that it's a bit life-threatening to stay there. But it's super nice to be back here :D

I've already experienced so much on my first day here. But I'm too tired to write a lot. So here's a summary: I rode for about 8 hours and we first brought in all the cows, then sorted them, and then drove half of them back to the ranch (about 7km). I never want to do anything else again ;).
