After a few beautiful days in the quite touristy Tamarindo, we also took a trip to Montezuma. This little really cute place is located in the south of the Nicoya Peninsula. Many animals gather here. Monkeys climb over you again and again in the trees. The special thing is a turtle breeding station. Volunteers collect the turtle eggs right after they are laid and the little ones hatch under observation. We were lucky and could watch the little turtles being released into the sea. They were really cute and not slow at all.
Since this little place consists of only one street and it started raining at night, we immediately set off again in the morning. We were afraid of getting stuck again, as most of the roads here are not paved.
