After a delicious first Hawaiian breakfast on our terrace in bright sunshine, we start the day!
And what else could be on the agenda for the start of the vacation than exploring the Hawaiian underwater world for the first time. Let's go to the familiar Kahaluhu Beach Park right on the famous Ali'i Drive. Despite the high tide and slightly murky water, we recognize all the Nemos from last year.
And since we can't get enough of the underwater world, we go snorkeling again in the afternoon, this time at a new beach section surrounded by black lava landscape and therefore not so easy to reach with a regular car. The last kilometers are just a bumpy gravel road, but it doesn't matter, we are rewarded with a Caribbean bay. From the beach we can see the turtles in the sea and while snorkeling we both discover a small octopus, a new experience for both of us.
We end this eventful day watching the sunset in Kona (starting point of the Hawaiian Ironman) and go to bed tired in the evening...
