Roadtrip Tag 40 - Wildlife Park Perth

Ippubblikat: 26.10.2017

We wanted to see more of the koalas, so we had to decide which of the many parks to choose. We chose the Wildlife Park because the animals are kept in the best condition there. We heard very bad reviews about the zoo or even the Koala Park.

The park is located 30 minutes north-east of Perth. The size of the park is sufficient, but not really large. There are the typical Australian animals to see. The park is divided into different areas (as on the map). And every hour an animal is presented or you can take a photo with it and pet it. There is always a caretaker present to look after the animal.

In Molly's Farm there were cows, horses, goats, sheep, llamas, rabbits, chickens, etc. At 1 o'clock there was a farm show, where the sheep were herded together by dogs and then one sheep was sheared live. Later, we were allowed to try milking the cow. At the Wombats and Friends area, we had the opportunity to pet a wombat. There was also a possum, a snake, some birds, and a few other animals. At the koalas, we were allowed to pet them and take a photo. Later, when all the tourists were gone, we watched the koalas for a bit, funny animals. There were also a freshie (freshwater crocodile), quokkas, penguins, emus, Tasmanian devils, reptiles, and of course kangaroos to see. Unfortunately, all the kangaroos were already full because a school class visited before us.

We really liked the park, we would go back anytime. In the afternoon, we walked through the city again.
