Day 10 - From Děčín to Mělník

Today we set off again in beautiful weather, except that it was quite cool at 12°C. However, it gradually got warmer, so that from late morning onwards, the vest became unnecessary and eventually we could even switch to shorts. Initially, the valley where the Elbe, which is called Labe here, flows, was very narrow with steep cliffs. That changed significantly as the valley widened into a hilly plain and the Labe became wider again. We had lunch on the very beautiful market square of Litoměřice. A word about the quality of the bike path. It was extremely poor at times today, so we were shaken quite a bit. Even our supporting body parts were pretty battered by it. After a total of 103 km, we reached Mělník. Again, we had to climb a significant slope on the way to our accommodation, but that was because the town of Mělník is slightly higher. Tomorrow we will embark on our final stage to Prague.
