75. Stage 'Cesme, Turkey'

Ippubblikat: 05.10.2024

The journey to Cesme took place again in wonderful weather. Still, it somehow felt longer than yesterday. Upon arriving in Cesme, I first went to the ticket office to buy a ferry ticket for the crossing to Chios. This went very smoothly, although the ticket seemed relatively expensive to me. I later bought the other two tickets to Piraeus and Venice online from the hotel. If everything goes according to plan, I will arrive in Venice on the morning of October 9th. Unfortunately, there were no available beds on any of the ferries, so I will probably have to use an air mattress and sleeping bag. Not ideal, but better than a sleeping chair. Cesme itself is a popular vacation destination, which was completely unknown to me. All in all, very touristy but quite nice. The place and the weather make me yearn for a summer holiday in autumn. As luck would have it, the owners of a bar I visited in the evening come from Münsterland. Tomorrow at 6 PM, the ferry to Chios departs, and at midnight, it continues on to Piraeus. I will arrive there on Monday morning and will then travel to Patras. The ferry to Venice leaves the harbor there at midnight. Arrival in Venice: October 9th in the early morning. I’m curious to see if everything works out.😁
