Monteverde / Santa Elena

After a three-hour drive to Santa Elena, we arrived at our hostel, Monteverde Backpackers, on Saturday afternoon - our accommodation for one night 💤

In the afternoon, we started with a zipline tour. Superwoman (flying like a bird) and the Tarzan Swing (a leap into the depths similar to bungee jumping) were not to be missed. Despite the rain, our mood was unbeatable. The whole adventure in the rainforest was super cool and full of action 😍

The night at the hostel was a bit short, not because we partied until the early hours - no - Tanja forgot to turn off the alarm, which was still set for 6.30 am 🤦‍♀️

Therefore, Sunday started a bit earlier than planned 😂 a walk through the Monteverde rainforest with hanging bridges was on the agenda. A wonderfully beautiful excursion surrounded by nature awaited us. Unfortunately, we didn't spot as many animals as we had hoped, but we did see a cute monkey family - the highlight of the day 🐒

Tomorrow we'll be heading back to school - week 3 in Costa Rica begins 🍍☀️
