Roadtrip USA East Coast Fifth Day (02 May 2024)

A: The world tour of the Japanese idol "Hatsune Miku" will return to North America in early April starting on the west coast of Canada. The celebration for the 10th anniversary of Miku Expo could not have started worse. A tremendous wave of hate was triggered due to countless complaints within the Miku community about an LED screen instead of the transparent background that has been used in recent years. This unleashed shitstorm, which will halt the entire tour, was incomprehensible to me after today's concert. The finest details, high-resolution simulation, perfect design of the characters and the stage cannot compete with the petition calling for the cancellation of the concerts by the so-called fans. In Orlando, I experienced the 10th concert of my superstar. It was amazing. I met a 21-year-old boy from Miami. We talked for 3 hours before the show started. Miku Expo has arrived on the east coast and I am right in the middle of it.

K-G: After our overnight stay in Wynwood, Miami, we head to Orlando. Upon arrival, we head straight to the Dr. Phillips Center, where Andreas attends his concert. I drove the car back to the accommodation, took care of the laundry, and then went on a 5 km walk through downtown Orlando. On the way, I encountered numerous shady characters, so I decided to take an Uber taxi back later. The poverty of the people was very evident on this 1.5-hour tour; people were lying on the side of the road, wrapped in dirty blankets, and many drug addicts were visible. I was shouted at in incomprehensible English, which made me fear for my belongings at times. 

Downtown Orlando is not worth seeing, there is a large artificial lake with numerous swans. Historical buildings were only sporadically found.

During my walk through downtown, I also passed by the concert hall, where there were still numerous Hatsune Miku fans of all ages, many schoolchildren were out with their parents.

After having frozen yogurt, I returned to the accommodation, this time with an Uber. Later, I had to pick up Andreas from the concert - he was in a conversation with a security guard and introduced me as his Uber driver. I just wonder what the security guard thought when Andreas then took the wheel?
