Take 359 - Nam Lod Cave

प्रकाशित: 28.12.2023

Haaaaaalloooooooo together

Today we stayed in bed until 10:00 a.m. On the one hand, it is still quite uncomfortably cold here in the morning and on the other hand, it was just too comfortable in bed ☺️

Around midday we set off and first picked up our laundry, which we had taken to the laundry yesterday.

Since we were driving near walking street, we decided to grab something to eat there. We found a restaurant and were served a lovely lunch.

Afterwards we drove off to the Nam Nod Cave. A large cave, but it was 1 hour and 15 minutes away.

The trip there was already an experience! Just like the road to Pai, one curve followed the next, there was hardly 100 meters of straight road.

We reached our destination, paid the entrance fee and were immediately assigned a guide. She filled her kerosene lamp and led the way towards the cave.

The height was really gigantic and looked like a huge spider web with its different corridors. We walked through the cave for a while until we reached a small river. There were several bamboo fins there and we were allowed to enter one of them. We were sailing on the river and suddenly there were really big fish all around us! We fed them some fish food that we bought at the entrance and they followed us throughout the journey. On the other side we went up a ladder again, further into the cave and then back the same way.

It might sound stupid, but our absolute highlight in this cave were the big fish that accompanied the raft 😁

Back in daylight, we sat down in an improvised restaurant right next to the caves and ordered something to eat and drink.

On the way back we made a short stop at another viewpoint and reached the accommodation again around 6 p.m.

There I started working on the pictures and the blog and Kevin is now looking for a hotel in Chiang Mai for us.

Afterwards we'll end the evening comfortably and say goodbye for today ☺️

Thank you for looking and see you tomorrow ☺️
