13.07.2024 – Lost at Sea – Chapter Four

Well, so last night there was a nice message from the bridge: The captain and his team were able to secure a berth in Reykjavik's new harbor for the evening before the actual arrival. This means specifically that we will land in Reykjavik tomorrow, 14.07., around 8:30 p.m. And then we can spend almost two full days on Iceland.

Furthermore, we can pick up our booked vehicle as early as possible and start the somewhat demanding tour on the first day in the best possible way.

We'll just hang out on board today. We're not doing any sports either because we don't really feel like it. There's a lot of coughing and sniffling around us and we don't want to expose ourselves to the risk of exacerbating our current feelings with sweaty bodies after sports. We still want to experience Iceland healthy and without cold symptoms... We've had enough of the ship for now.

Although since the continuing sea days we have been offered a more diverse onboard program to reduce the spreading boredom. But whether the Sunrise Stretching, the Ukulele Workshop, Gentle Gym with Vanessa, the meeting point for bridge players or the Country Line Dancing with Astrid and Erika will really distract us among many offers... we are uncertain and still considering 😊.

The only thing we are very sure about is that in the afternoon we will devour a (or two) pieces of cake. After all, today is the birthday of a dear family member 😊. Happy Birthday, dear Martin!
