Day 5: Universal Studios

Today we waited for our shuttle bus to Universal Studios at 8:15 am without breakfast. Despite the not so promising weather, it took us 45 minutes to reach the park as there were other early risers as well. After Shrek and Simpson Ride (without waiting time), we had to fuel up with some coffee and pastries. Then we continued to the new Fast & Furious, Transformers, Men in Black, Hogwarts Express, Forbidden City of Hogwarts, and Spiderman. We sometimes had to wait up to 80 minutes. Harry Potter fascinated me the most. Starting with the departure from Platform 9 3/4, we took the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade. The place, the hustle and bustle, and the many costumed visitors with their wands and cloaks reminded me a lot of the movies. It's amazing how adults become children again. The famous Butterbeer also couldn't be missed. After walking more than 10,000 steps, we had a light meal (healthy) at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. At 7:15 pm, we took our shuttle bus back to the hotel.
