Day 31 Milford Sound & Fiordland

Finally woke up and nearly blue sky.

Heading to Milford Sound, the journey itself is simply breathtaking. A must-visit is the numerous signposted natural attractions, where you can actually visit each one. Especially recommended is The Chasm, where the waterfall has created unique shapes in the rocks. The Mirror Lakes are also amazing, even though they are just small pools, you can see wonderful reflections of the mountains here. The Homer Tunnel is also unique, hopefully the ADAC tunnel tester will never come here...

The little cruise through Milford Sound is fascinating. You can see mountains that are over 2000m high, at sea level. We were also greeted by numerous dolphins at the mouth of the Sound. On the ship, I found it very nice to be asked to say hello to the captain on the bridge, which I did.

Today was one of the most beautiful days of our trip.

Hi. In HH übrigens Regen 8 Grad.
