13th Day 2nd July 2022 - Hartford

Today we had a peaceful night and slept in. For breakfast today, once again scrambled eggs and we have breakfast on the porch. Since the weather is not so good today, we decide to go to Hartford, the capital of the state of Connecticut, and to see a birthday gift for Marie in a shopping center, a rain jacket from The North Face. We find what we're looking for and take a stroll through the huge shopping city. On the way back, we try to take alternative routes. Here we see more of the countryside and its people than on the interstate.

However, you can also see that away from the scenic areas, the poverty gap increases and the houses no longer look so fancy.

In the evening, we go to Pa's Place for fish and chips, tacos and burgers for take away, which we then enjoy comfortably on our porch.
