Playa Blanca

On Saturday, the three of us took a taxi to Playa Blanca beach. The ride took 1 hour from Cartagena. Bolivar is located southwest of Cartagena. When we arrived in Bolivar, our car and taxi driver were inspected by the military. We had to get out of the car for the inspection. Everything was fine and we were able to continue to the beach. We were surprised at how young the military personnel were and whether they could handle a big gun at all.

When we arrived at Playa Blanca, dark clouds started to gather and it started to drizzle. Unfortunately, the weather didn't improve much and instead of tanning in the sun, we had to switch to plan B. Our new friends Coco Loco, Pina Colada, and Caipirinha kept us company, and the day turned out to be a success after all.
