The morning started for Heike with a cup of coffee in the sunshine. The rest of the family was still asleep. Heike enjoyed the peace and being alone. But a black cat had something against it. She jumped on Heike's lap and wanted to be petted. She stubbornly stayed there. After a while, it got too hot for the cat and she left Heike's lap.

After that, Heike got rolls and we had breakfast together on our beautiful viewing platform.

Then we packed our things and went to the nearby lake. The kids really wanted to ride a paddle boat. So we rented a pirate paddle boat. Actually, only the kids wanted to ride. But since the man from the rental company said it would be better if an adult was with them, Heike joined in. Since Christian didn't want to stay alone, he asked if he could ride along too. The man from the rental company said it was a bit problematic in terms of weight, but it would work. So now we were finally four in the paddle boat. Unfortunately, no one told us that there was a sandbank right after setting sail. So we got stuck there. The kids then left the boat to pull us into deeper water. They did it voluntarily and without a word of protest. The man from the rental company waved his arms frantically. We didn't understand exactly what he wanted. But when he started preparing his canoe and pulling it into the water, we knew we had to do something differently. So we pedaled towards the other boats. That seemed to calm him down and he went back to his seat on the shore. But now we had a problem because the wind picked up. A pirate paddle boat is not as agile as we thought and is also very susceptible to wind. This became apparent when we could steer the paddle in all directions, but kept drifting towards the sandbank. We thought the paddle had broken on the sandbank. But other people pedaling in other boats told us that the paddle was still working. It was just a matter of strong wind. Nevertheless, tensions rose in the boat. We pedaled and steered like crazy, but only moved in circles. Eventually, we drifted towards the shore where we could stand again. So the kids, once again voluntarily, got out of the boat and pulled us towards the dock. After that, we had enough of paddle boats. So we went to another lake to swim there.

Actually, we just wanted to find out where a nice beach was. The pharmacist, whom we asked about it, seemed to be so bored that she listed all the beaches within a radius of 50 km and gave us a detailed discourse on the pros and cons of each one. In the end, we could hardly remember anything. The only thing we remembered turned out to be wrong. So we went to the nearest beach we found. And it wasn't that bad. The water was very cold everywhere, but crystal clear. We met nice Argentinians there. We chatted with them a bit and got new tips for our trip.

When the sun went down enough to put the beach in the shade, it was time for us to leave. We drove to the small town and bought meat. Although it was a small supermarket, the meat and sausages were still homemade. The butcher showed us his small refrigeration room with the halves of beef in it. That impressed us a lot. He would cut out the pieces of meat that the customers wanted from these half cows. Meanwhile, his colleague was making sausages next door. Everything we bought there tasted phenomenally good. Finally, we even discovered the good old German liver sausage.

Back at our accommodation, the kids started preparing a barbecue fire in the Argentinean way. They did it very well and we grilled our meat and sausages in a cozy atmosphere. After that, we made a bonfire that kept us warm.
