So now for our current trip.

The past week was mostly about relaxation in a luxury shared apartment in the retirement paradise of Cape Coral. After a very sleepless journey right after the Sechseläuten, the 10-hour flight to Miami was quickly over. The new "kiosks" for biometric checks at the immigration in Miami also provided us with a new record experience. We were already through immigration and customs in just 15 minutes, as everything is now queried on the machine, so no more forms need to be filled out. A really substantial improvement!

Everything else went smoothly as well, and so not even an hour and a half after landing, we were already in our rental car on the way to Miami Beach, where the battle against jet lag was successfully won and rewarded with a night of sleep.
